MY 64 IMPALA SS
MMy 1969 RS Camaro Drag Car
I'LL PAINT ALMOST ANYTHING.......
BRENT FIELDS'S 72 CUTLASS
HERE'S WHAT I STARTED WITH......
VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING THAT COULD BE UNBOLTED
TAKEN TO MY SHOP AND STRAIGHTENED
AND PAINTED SEPARATELY. THIS TOOK ABOUT 3 WEEKS OF EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS BECAUSE THIS CAR HAD
SOME NASTY DENTS AND SEVERAL RUST SPOTS. GENE BRANAMAN WELDED
NEW QUARTERS ON AT HIS SHOP, AND THEN THE ENTIRE CAR WAS
TAKEN TO MY SHOP TO FINISH.
THESE PIC'S WERE TAKEN RIGHT AFTER THE CAR WAS
UNMASKED IN FRONT OF MY SHOP. THE TOP WAS LEFT IN EPOXY PRIMER
TO REDUCE COST SINCE IT WAS GOING TO HAVE A NEW VINYL TOP PUT ON.
THE PAINT IS A BASE/ CLEAR COAT GM WHITE W/ BLACK STRIPES.
(SPECIAL THANKS TO JASON "ROD" FIELDS
FOR ADVICE, AND HELP LAYING OUT THE STRIPES.)
THE FINISHED PRODUCT
Roger Price's GTO
John Corbin's 1937 Plymouth
Greg Elliott's Top Alcohol Funny Car
Greg sideswiped the wall in Atlanta at about 180 Mph and needed some scuffs and
The body really filled up
the garage bay, these things are long....
The finished product minus a few decals. PPG paint is really good stuff
(or should I say ...STUF). I think I may switch to it as my main paint.
