HUMBLE BEGINNINGS....  I FOUND THIS POOR OL 69 RS SETTING IN A HAYFIELD BEHIND
A BARN. THE OWNER HAD HIDDEN IT FROM HIS 16 YEAR OLD SON. THIS THING WAS
SAD LOOKING, BUT STRUCTURALLY SOUND.

THE INTERIOR LOOKED LIKE GODZILLA'S PLAYPEN, BUT NO RIPS OR TEARS IN THE SEATS
JUST TONS OF TRASH AND MOUSE NEST'S.

THE STOCK REAR END (10 BOLT 2:56  GEARS) HAS BEEN SCRAPPED FOR A NINE-INCH FORD
WITH A SPOOL AND 4:22 GEARS.

THE TRANSMISSION HAD MORE LEAKS THAN A SOAKER HOSE, AND SEEMED PRETTY TIRED, SO...
I JUST BOUGHT A FRESH TRANSMISSION FROM A FRIEND AND NOW THE BEAST WILL MOVE,
IT MAY NOT STOP BUT IT WILL MOVE.

IT IS NOT NEARLY AS UGLY NOW, IT HAS A 6 INCH COWL HOOD AND IS STRAIGHTENED OUT AND
IS IN PRIMER.. IT ACTUALLY LOOKS KINDA NEAT THIS WAY.

Next comes the paint.....

This is the new color for the ol '69, WHITE , and believe me its real white. It turned out much better than I had anticipated.
The basecoat-clearcoat paint is the only way to go.
