Terry Goodkind is the author of the bestselling Sword of Truth series. He lives in the northeastern United States.

Before turning to fiction in his 40's, Terry Goodkind used his rich imagination and love of nature in a varied array of careers. He has been a carpenter, a violin maker, a hypnotherapist, and a wildlife artist, and has done restoration of rare artifacts, including Native American birch bark canoes and African fertility masks.
