You are Captain James T. Kirk, of the U.S.S. Enterprise. (You can feel yourself going bald now...) Right now, you are on the Bridge of the aforementioned flagship of the United Federation of Planets, the U.S.S. Enterprise. Commander Spock and Doctor Leonard McCoy were off ship, both attending conferences on Starbase 47.

Lieutenant Nyota Uhura interrupts your thoughts... "Captain, we are receiving a distress call... from the Roddenberry!"

The Roddenberry was the shuttle that Spock and McCoy had took! "On screen," you order.

Spock and McCoy's image came on the forward viewscreen with a lot of static.

"This is the... Roddenberry... shields failing... attempted to... Cornelius Roosta IV... crash land imminent..." The distress call

"Mister Chekov, plot a course for that planet, Cornelius Roosta IV. Warp 8, engage." you order the young ensign.

The Enterprise slipped into warp, her engines starting to strain.

"Keptain," Chekov started, "May I be excused from the bridge, sir?"

"For what purpose?" you ask.

"Ever since I heard that planet's name, I have been hungry for a bowl of cereal."

You smile, "Dismissed."

Chekov left his seat, and walked to the Turbolift. Smack. Chekov had run into the still closed doors. You didn't know why, but that seemed to happen alot.

* * * *

A short time later...

"Captain," Sulu reported, "We have reached Cornelius Roosta IV."

"Lieutenant Nimoy," you begin to order Spock's replacement, "Scan for wreckage."

"Aye sir, commencing scan."

A few minutes later, Nimoy reports, "None found, captain."

"Mr. Nimoy, calculate the most probable location of the Roddenberry, based on trajectory, and send those coordinates down to the Transporter Room"

You decide that you will need someone to come with you. But who?

Should it be Chief Engineer Scott?

Should it be a Security Officer?
