“Wisdom is bright and does not grow dim.
By those who love her she is readily seen,
and found by those who look for her.
Quick to anticipate those who desire her,
she makes herself known to them.
Watch for her early and you will have no trouble;
you will find her sitting at your gates.”

My brother-in all of life
When once he came they cried and the people, all aghast were surprised.
Never before or again had they witnessed such utter frivolity or madness.
A tumbling shatter and the ground shook and the trees were scared.
He had come, he had come, and they were all there.
Carefully planned and quietly devised, this being of
confrontation - sometimes observant and orthodox,
other times outrageous and insubordinate, entered the times
passing of those who least expected it.
Yet once they had tasted this solitary madman, were addicted
and awaited with angst their next indulgence of avarice.
When deprived, which was often, they spoke of him,
and when overdosed they were happy, and conclusively
that’s the gift he gave them. An awareness on original
happiness. Doubt free, as should be.

For the new year. - I still live, I still think: I still have to
live, for I still have to think. Sum, ergo, cogito: cogito, ergo
sum. Today everybody permits themselves the expression of their
wish and their dearest thought; hence I, too, shall say what it is
that I wish from myself today, and what was the first thought
to run across my heart this year - what thought shall be for me
the reason, warranty, and sweetness of my life henceforth.
I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary
in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful.
Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage
war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even
want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only
negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to
be only a Yes-sayer.
With a flaming spear you crushed
All its ice until my soul
Roaring toward the ocean rushed
Of its highest hope and goal.
Ever healthier it swells,
Lovingly compelled but free:
Thus it lauds your miracles,
Fairest month of January!"
GENOA, January 1882.
Original recital in Eleftherias Square a.m Jan 2000.
For those who heard it, for those that were there, bless you all.
It was for me, the beginning....
