This is a working page for my notes on the enneagram. I work on it quite sporadically and different parts of it will reflect my understanding of different times. Through this page I hope to improve my own understanding and maybe also prove helpful to those who share my interest. My interest is in the enneagram as a method of modelling processes rather than just with its use in classifying personality types (and "essence types"). This will be an irritating site if you are looking for something pre-packaged; sadly I do not believe there is much on the "enneagram of process" in pre-packaged form and this site may even be the best available!
If you already know about the enneagram and just want to skip to what this site has especially to offer, you might like to start at theLifestage Enneagram. This site used to say "If you have somehow reached this site without knowing anything about the enneagram you might like to look at Dave's Enneagram Pages for a general introduction, in particular to the "enneagram of personality"." Actually, you won't, because that excellent page has now disappeared. Google "enneagram" though and you will find many introductory sites.
This site also has said If you are interested in the matter of this site then please consider joining the
Octave and Enneagram Mailing List. The archives are open. Apart from using the link just provided, you can subscribe to the List by sending any e-mail to the following address:
That list has also gone a bit off the track. So all in all a bit of revision to this site is required...
The Enneagram & Octave List used to use Listbot software. The archives from that old incarnation of the list are now shut-down finished and kaput. A few odds and ends salvaged from the archives can be found in the Storage Page.
The enneagram and process
What it says, a collectionof some of my notes on this.
The Lifestage Enneagram
Relating the process enneagram to the personality enneagram.
Syncretism and chakras
Well..here you will find my nomination for the 'mystic Rosetta stone' so to speak... plus a few self-cautionary words. The Kabbalistic attributions are likely to be particularly controversial. I offer them with all due caution and humility, of course; but not at all frivolously or thoughtlessly.
