Hobart
Model Aero Club
The Hobart Model Aero Club is in Tasmania, the Island State of Australia.
Hobart is the capital city, and the club currently has about 80 members.
We cater for all types of aeromodelling, freeflight, control line, and
radio control. The club is most popular on weekends, but has good support
right throughout the week. Where is the club?, click here to find out!
The club is
affiliated with the Model Aeronautical
Association of Australia (MAAA), which provides insurance, radio frequencies,
airspace, and competitions. To be a member of the HMAC, a person must also
become a member of the MAAA. Members fly mainly fixed wing radio control
sport models, but many also fly freeflight, control line, and other types
of R/C. We can offer free flying instruction to beginners, with one of
our many MAAA qualified instructors.
You can Learn more about aeromodelling and radio control, and how it applies to the HMAC.
