BURPEE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
ROCKFORD, IL

Perhaps my absolute favorite paleo related place to visit is the somewhat-secluded Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford, Illinois. For those of you interested, Rockford is a large city, of about 100,000 or so residents, northwest of Chicago. It is perhaps most famous for either its part in the infamous Black Hawk War or the CBA basketball team it plays host to. But, however, dinosaurs and paleontology are quickly becoming a symbol of Rockford.
