| Brief History of Chi Delta Theta | ||
| Ten years ago, Founding Mothers, Alison Suto
and Joanne Yamaoka, envisioned starting the first Asian-American interest
sorority at UC Santa Barbara. Uncertain of the outcome or future of
their pursuits, Alison and Joanne spent many days (and long evenings) planning
the launch of Chi Delta Theta. Twenty ladies met on October 13, 1989 to attend the first meeting of Chi Delta Theta Sorority. Now, nearly ten years later, we will be celebrating our 10-year anniversary. The sorority has not only prevailed, it is thriving and the spirit of sisterhood is alive at UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Loyola Marymount, Long Beach State University, and UC Davis. | ||
