THOMAS JOHANSSON

Thomas Johansson is one of the new breed of rising tennis superstars. He won back-to-back tournaments: Copenhagen Open (Denmark) & St. Petersberg Open (Russia). He's currently one of the hottest players in the ATP Tour in 1997.
In 1998, he's Sweden's top player in the ATP and has helped the Davis Cup team enter the finals by defeating Spain the semifinals. Johansson's speciality is in any court surface except clay. He's been successul in indoor tournaments in the end of 1998 which has helped him raise his ranking to number 17. 1999 should be another fruitful year for this young Swede.
