Jeppo is a village in
Österbotten in
Finland. Population today is about 1200.People have lived a long time in Jeppo. When the first ones moved here (during the Stone Age) the main parts of what is now the village was still below water and this means that the earliest signs of human activity is to be found on the higher places in the area. In 1548 (155 years before the founding of St: Petersburg or several decades before the founding of New York) there already lived 189 people in Jeppo. The population grew and was as largest in late 1800 and early 1900 when approximately 2500 people lived in the village.
