Lessons For Life: Do Unto Others
There were once two men who were just the opposite of the other. One man worked hard for a
living while the other stole for his bread and butter. One day the man who stole was caught and
taken to prison. At the same time a poor woman and a little girl knocked at the hardworking man's
door. Seeing the poor couple he took pity on them and took them into his house and gave them a
good dinner and when he was done the woman asked him, "Kind sir, please tell me where the king
lives". And he answered, "He lives in his castle over yonder hill but if you plan to see him let me take
you to him for it is a long walk from here". And so he put the two on his old mule and took them to
the king who upon seeing them cried out joyously, "This is my wife and daughter who were lost at
sea many years ago!" He then turned to the man and said, "For your kindness to my wife and
daughter I shall reward you with whatever you ask". The man replied, "O king, there is one thing I
ask for and that is a new animal to help me with my work". Soon the man was on his way home
with his old mule and a strong young donkey, while the other sat in a deep dark dungeon.
The lesson in this story is:
Doing unto others as you would have them do unto you may bring you
many things, such as wealth or fame (or as in this case a new donkey), and always the joy of helping
others; while stealing leads you in only one direction: Repentance.

Lessons For Life: Good And Bad
There was once a pair of twins that were very diferent from one another. One tried to be as good as he could, while the other led a life of evil. One day the twin that led the life of evil was caught and brought to prison. Meanwhile the other twin was taken to the king who said: "I am old and weak ad soon to die. I have no son, no daughters, no wife and no relatives. I need someone to take my place when I am dead, so I need to find him now while I am alive. I have been watching you for some time, and know you try and do your best to do what is right. When I die you will be king." The next day the king died and the twin took his place as ruler, while his brother lay in a prison cell.
The Lesson In This Story Is:
Even though none can be totally good, do your best at it because doing wrong never pays.

Lessons For Life: Honesty
There was once two boys who had but one difference. One was honest and one was not. One day the honest one was throwing rocks aound and smashed his dad's car window. He immediately told his dad what he had done and added "It was very stupid throwing rocks around and I will accept any punishment this has to bring." Because of his honesty the father let him go without punishment. Some days later the other boy was throwing rocks around and broke his dad's windshield with one of the rocks. Afraid of a spanking he acted like he knew nothing. Then his dad came out to do an errand and saw the glass laying in and on the car. He saw his son playing in the yard and asked him "Do you know who broke my windshield?" "Jimmy broke it" he said pointing across the street at Jimmy's house. His dad went over and knocked on the front door. It was answered with a "Come in it's open!" His dad steped into the living room. Jimmy and his mither were sitting on the couch watching TV. "Was Jimmy outside anytime today?" he asked Jimmy's mother. "why no" she said, "I have had my eyes on him since he got up this morning". Then his dad knew his son had lied and gave him a spanking and made him pay for the window with his own money.
The Lesson In This Story Is:
Honesty brings less punishment while deception (dishonesty) brings more.

Lessons For Life: Kindness
There was once two families who were very poor and begged door to door for even the smallest crust of bread. They were in this position because each of the fathers had lost their job and badly needed a new one. Each family had but one child, a boy. One boy was kindhearted and would share with anyone as long as he did not have and evil soul (A thief or murderer). The other was mean and selfish and would not shared at all. One day the selfish boy laid down what he had been eating to throw a rock down the street and immediately and dog whose bones showed through his skin reached for the food. The boy upon seeing the dog go after his bread and being a selfish lad threw the rock at the dog instead of down the sreet. A wealthy doctor who owned an animal hospital saw it all. Even though he wished to give the boy a peice of his mind he wanted to help the dog even more so he ran after it. He soon lost it until he turned a corner and saw the kindhearted boy feeding the dog his crust. Seeing the boy being so kind to the dog told the doctor that this was the kind of lad he needed to help his nurses with the animals he had. So because of his kindness the boy's family was able to restore their place as citizens while the other boy's family continued to live on the streets.
The Lesson In This Story Is:
Be as kind as you can for kindness may bring many things and most importantly it is the best tool to use when making friends.
