We lost Aunt Ruth this year. She was at our house for a little over a month last year and became ill shortly after returning home with Sharon. She was in and out of the hospital for several months and I made a few trips to California to lend Sharon a hand. Her body finally gave out and she passed away at home on June 17th, with Sharon by her side. She touched many lives during her 80 years and had a great influence on me while I was growing up. She will surely be missed by all of us.
While I was in California for her memorial service, Gordon and his wife, Jeri, came to see Sharon and Dennis. What a great time we had looking at old pictures and sharing family memories. I had taken two albums filled with pictures and Sharon has dresser drawers filled with old pictures!! I am trying to talk her into letting me help her get them put into albums.
This will be the first time in 30 years that Sharon will be alone. It will be a hard time for her, but she has many friends who love and support her and will keep her busy during this difficult time.
