Prohibition is repealed in 1933 and Kelly's Pub opens. Kelly's Pub is a unique bar with a sports-oriented singles atmosphere. Kelly's Pub has been operated by the Kelly family since it's inception and is truly a Chicago tradition. It is located in Lincoln Park, one of Chicago's most beautifully restored areas. Kelly's Pub is on the edge of the DePaul University Campus and only a short distance west of the Halsted St. theater and restaurant district. The Lincoln Park Sheffield-DePaul residential and business areas are listed on  The National Register of Historic Places. Near by is the landmarked Armitage-Halsted business area.

Kelly's Pub presents a large selection of bottled and draft beer along with many drink specials and a full bar. Kelly's also has tasty tavern  burgers, chicken, home made soup and chili. Kelly's is equipped with 9 TV's to appeal to the sports enthusiast. There is also an outdoor Beer Garden.

Kelly's Pub is a 10-minute cab ride from the loop. From 94, exit Fullerton east to Sheffield and go south two blocks to Webster. Kelly's is 2200 north and 949 west (2 blocks south of Fullerton and 3 blocks west of Halsted).

Kelly's Pub was the location for the movie "About Last Night" and several TV shows. The Pub was featured in the PBS documentary "Remembering Chicago Again", Bon Appetite in March 2000 and The National Geographic. Polly and John Kelly were interviewed on the deck. The deck is next to the historic brown line built in 1897. The brown line EL tracks run from downtown to the Northwest side of Chicago. See National Geographic May 2002, zip code 60014.

Most recently Kelly's Pub history was documented in the Chicago Tribune on Friday, Feb. 2003. See 'Ye Olde Pubs".  Kelly's Pub is the oldest Pub on the North Side of the City, owned and operated by the same family, and in the same location. You will enjoy the atmosphere of this neigborhood Pub  with it's original 1930's back bar and cabinet, and walls covered with vintage and new photos.

Kelly's Pub is the lake front campus of  Maguire University. Maguire U. was established in 1963 as a scam to obtain tickets for the final four. When you visit Kelly's see the Maguire U. sports corner located near the locker rooms.

Authentic Kelly's Pub clothing is on display and available for purchase.

We hope to see you soon!!!
Available at the bar for only $10.00.
