Welcome! My name is Edith Bastin, and I am researching the Polston/Poston family. This data represents the present state of research which contains descendants (with spouses) and known ancestors for ANDREW M. POLSTON and ELIZABETH GOODMAN of South Central Kentucky. Andrew was born 10 November 1832 in Wayne County, Kentucky, and died 27 May 1904 in Hart County, Kentucky. Andrew married Elizabeth about 1852. Elizabeth was born 16 February 1837 in Tennessee and died 01 February 1910 in Hart County, Kentucky.
Many of their descendants are known to still be located in South Central Kentucky and many have relocated throughout the United States. If you have ancestors in Kentucky, especially in the Counties of Hart, Grayson, Edmonson, Meade, Hardin and Jefferson, there is a good possibility your family connects with this family line.
The Polston Family Discussion List is a free genealogical mailing list for individuals to research any of the POLSTON Family lines. The list is intended for POLSTONs worldwide with all spelling variations of the POLSTON surname. Our goal is to link as many Polston family lines as we can! To subscribe to the free POLSTON FAMILY DISCUSSION LIST click here and type "Subscribe" for the subject and message.
A Civil War Memorial Marker Dedication Service was held May 4, 2002, 9:30 a.m. CDT -- 98 years from death date (May 27, 1904) of Andrew M. Polston. A large number of Descendants and friends attended the Ceremony. Click here for pictures that were taken of the Polston Family Cemetery at the Memorial Marker Dedication Service.
The Polston Family Cemetery is maintained by monetary donations from family members. We plan to have the cemetery mowed every three weeks during the spring, summer and fall mowing season. Email me firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information. THANKS!
Enjoy your visit! E-mail if you see connections, have additional information, would like to contribute information that might be helpful to my visitors, have any comments on this site, or just want to say hi! Living relatives' dates are not published for privacy reasons. This data has been made possible due to earlier and present researchers recording and sharing our family history. Thanks!
Thanks to Gary and Glenda, my son and daughter, for their patience, help and assistance. Without their encouragement, aid and research, this site would not have been developed. Thanks, Gary and Glenda! Gary's web site is The Bastin Family and Glenda's web site is The Presnell/Presley Family.
I'm searching for the Bibles of OLLIE MAY (POSTON) PRESLEY AND ISAAC MARTIN PRESLEY. I believe these Bibles were lost in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. If found, please notify me. My email is email@example.com Thanks! Edith

Another POLSTON FAMILY Database, Hart County, KYI've not as yet found documentation of the connection of this family to my Hart Co, KY POLSTON Family but I KNOW they do connect. I believe that William "Bill" Polston (who's wife was Rhoda Stephens)in this database was s/o Andrew Polston and Jane Milligan (or Mulligan) which would make William "Bill" Polston a brother to George, Joseph, Hannah, Rebecca, Andrew M (my Great Grandfather), Elizabeth, James David, and John W. Can anyone help me with the missing link? Thanks!
There are 487 individuals and 172 families representing 117 surnames in this database.

I hope that when you're feeling a little tug on your heartstrings for the people and places back home that you will write a letter or pick up the phone and call those loved ones and tell them how much you love them and miss them.
