Music....something which I listen everyday. Seems to be part of my life. As the saying goes, "Music soothes even the savage beast" Hehehe well I am not a savage beast, mind you =P. Generally I listen to many different kinds of music. Pop, Rock, Grunge, Cantopop, Alternatives, Japanese, Chinese....etc. Cantopop and alternatives are 2 kinds which I love very much.

Cantopop

Well...Cantopop are originated from HongKong. So they are all sung in cantonese (The language widely spoken in HongKong). Also, I am a cantonese myself. Ok, there are alot of singers and bands in HongKong. I do like some of them, although the music in Hong Kong is very commercialized. Well, my favourite singers are Hacken Lee, Sammi Cheng (that's her on the left), Jacky Cheng, Alan Tam, Faye Wong, Kelly Chan and the band BEYOND (below). Still got many more. More than my fingers and toes could count. =)...heheh

English

Hmm...I think it's better to catagorize all Rock, R&Bs, Jazz, Grunge...etc as English music. So well, as I have said earlier that I like alternatives very much and favourite bands are Green Day, Oasis, Beatles (Hey, they are not alternatives musicians, but I like them), Pearl Jam , Lightning Seeds, Nirvana (oh so sad that Kurt Cobain had left us), Gin Blossoms, U2, London Suede,Ash (new Irish band that's doing very well in UK) ...etc.

Japanese

Well, I have learned Japanese and I know a little only until now (lazy to practise). However I love listening to japanese music. Some of my favourites are Chage and Aska, Mr. Children , Miyuki Nakajima, Globe, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukie Nishimura. Have been looking around for new japanese pop to listen...well if you have any new japanese pop groups or singers to introduce, email to me.
