NATIONALS!!

WOW!! The National Leadership Conference was a huge success and a rewarding experience for all who attended. From EPCOT, to the unique hotel, to the humidity, to MGM Studios, the on again/off again rain, the opening speaker Olympist Madeline Manning Mimms, the Magic Kindgom, and especially, meeting fellow FBLA members from around the Nation! It was non stop fun--at least, until the Continental flight home that was delayed 12 hours. Everyone, win or lose, came home satisfied with a job well done.

I had the opportunity to talk to the 1997-98 National President Curt Hall for a few minutes (he is a very busy man). Anyone who spent just one minute with this incredible man felt his enthusiasm for FBLA and his love for all the members. In reflection upon my experience as a whole, only one word describes it--UNFORGETTABLE!!

Utah FBLA showed its stuff at the Awards Assembly Wednesday night. Congratulations to the following national winners:

At last year's Nationals in Anaheim, CA, Utah FBLA had only four winners. However, Utah FBLA brought back the gold with fourteen winners this year!! This is my last official duty as your 1997-98 Utah State Reporter. It has truly been a pleasure serving all of you. Good luck to you and keep FBLA strong!

Respectfully yours,

John Chadwick
