Olympus FBLA has been productive this year. We've had our opening socials on September 30th and October 1st with the chapter and the district. The turnout for both of these events was excellent. All the members and officers had a great time. On October 16th we had officer installation for our district. All of the officers came and were able to mingle with the officers of the other schools present.
Upcoming events are the Halloween Party on October 29th where officers and members are going to paint pumpkins and then take them to the children at Primary Children's Medical Hospital. On November 22nd we are going to the Sportsmall with the Skyline FBLA chapter. We are going to have the Christmas shelter party for shelter kids on December 6th. Finally on December 8th, we are going on the Jazz field trip where we are going to watch the Jazz practice and tour the Delta Center and then we will go to KSL.

Hillcrest FBLA got off to a great start this year with a great opening social held at Pizza Hut. Our plans for the year were discussed and friendships were formed. It was fun for all who attended! Our 1997-98 officers for the year were chosen and are as follows: Brittany Barney, President; Nathan Glassey, Vice-President; John Chadwick, Secretary; Todd Hansen, Treasurer; Sara Jorgensen, Historian; and Wendy Somsen, Reporter.
Hillcrest FBLA is excited to be attending Fall Leadership Conference and hopes to make friends with other FBLAers from around the state. Our service project is currently underway; we are planning to donate food to a shelter at Thanksgiving and contribute to the Angel Tree program at Christmas.
