Below is a photographic record of all the legible graves of Routledge kinsfolk in the churchyard at St Marys, Bewcastle parish Cumbria England

The parish church is dedicated to St. Mary and stands near the center of the township. It stands on an ancient foundation,. a new edifice erected in 1830 on the site of the old church. In the churchyard stands a tombstone inscribed: Here lies Robert (Hob) Forrester, of Stanegarthside, 1598.

Stapleton is a tiny hamlet in Bewcastledale about 5 miles south west of Bewcastle itself, I learned through a Canadian Routledge cousin (who's e-mail address I misplaced PLEASE CONTACT ME SO I MAY THANK YOU) that many generations of Routledges were resting here.
