The car pictured on this page is a 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport fastback. Most people have a love or hate relationship with the styling of this car. When it came out in 72 it was described by some as a land locked tuna. These cars have grown on me in recent years.
As you can see by this photo the car just got a new engine installed. (Ten years ago) This photo is rather old. I have some other photos I will add and tell the story of this car.May 19, 2005 update. The car got pulled off of my property two months ago and I took it to where I live. Thank goodness the car had no engine. Out of all the spare keys I had I did not have the right set to unlock the car. So I need to get some more keys made for the car. Luckily for my roommate and I we were able to search thru the other cars on my land and find a bucket handle to roll down the back window. I cleaned the trunk of the car out and find a bunch of more 1971 Thunderbird parts plus some gear oil, motor oil and trans fluid. Threw away all the carpet in the trunk. The car is still on the trailer waiting to be moved off.
