The Salon was the first pre-demoed car Chris ever ran.

Chris and Doug were in Long Prairie watching the Demo Derby, and other things, when they happened upon this thing. The guy didn't do well in the derby because he got stuck in the mud twice. He had left the rear end open. It was bad for him, but good for Chris. He paid $75 for a good strong car.


See how much we cared about these cars? We don't even have any pictures of them. This is Russell and Chris putting the sign on the roof of the Salon.

This is another sign mounting picture. The car had taken a few good hits before it got stuck in the mud.

Hey, the car drove itself onto the trailer before it ran, that's a good sign right?

So on the trailer it was, that is where the story ends. This car did okay though, it brought home a heat winner trophy; the only one of its kind from Sauk.
