Seventh Wedding Cake
The bride this cake was for is a fellow member of the Cynnabar Collegium Musica, the medieval and reniassance choir I've been singing with for many years.
The general design was based on a magazine picture of a cake by Samantha Connell (which cost $750 and only served 75), but was scaled up and side cakes added to increase the number of servings. The flowers were gumpaste, and the vines were made from green fondant using a clay gun.
Below are pics of the bride and groom cutting the cake, and a closer view of the center cake.
