I am a huge fan of classic movies, and I want to take up this space to talk about my all-time favorite movie star, Lauren Bacall. When I first signed on the internet, I was shocked at the lack of sites mentioning Bacall. Fortunately, since then, a few more have popped up. Still, no one has yet devoted an entire page to her--so I decided I would. Please be patient--this site is still in the very early stages of construction....remember to come back and check on it later. Last September, one of my friends gave me the wonderful opportunity to see Lauren Bacall speak live at George Mason University. I was absolutely thrilled, and the evening remains one of the most exciting I've ever had. During a part of the night devoted to questions from the audience, I asked her if she could go back and do one thing over again, what would she do. She said "If I could be serious for one moment, I don't think I ever told Bogie enough how much I loved him. Or my mother, for that matter. It's so important to tell those you love that you love them. I don't think you can ever say it enough." I think those are some great words for thought.
