I arrived at F/8 in August 69 as a “Shake and Bake” infantry NCO.
The BLUES became my home until my discharge in July of 70. During my tour I was a squad leader then Platoon Sargent.
My best memory is the camaraderie of the “Blues” and the friendships I made.
My wife, Eve, and I live in Chattanooga, TN. on Lookout Mountain Daughters Stephanie and Jennifer live in the Atlanta area with their husbands.
Upon leaving the Army I returned to college and acquired a degree in Industrial Engineering in 71.
I am a sales rep for Georgia School Equipment with northern Georgia being my territory. I have been with GSE for eighteen years. One of the best things that has happened recently is reconnecting with many buddies in BLUEGHOSTS.

I was with Blue ghost from Dec 70 to Dec 71. Cpt E. David Saxton. I started in Chu Lia with the guns on my second tour in vietman, and went with them to Lam Son 715. We went back to Red Beach and then Marble Mountian in Danang, and I ended my tour at Marble Mountian.

The picture was from Lam San 715, taken on the cobra flight line that was right next to the ammo dump. Good aiming point!!!

After getting out of the army in 1972, I went in the reserves and continued to fly till I retired in 1996, with 29 years as a pilot. I started with the County Police in 1979 and retired from that in 1989. I am now working on my third career as a nursing supervisor, as an Regestered Nurse, quite a difference from my past jubs, but the wife thought I needed a real job.
