So you wanted to know more! Well, let me see, hmmm I am male, 34 years old, and living in Copenhagen, Denmark. I recently defended my Ph.D. thesis in Economics and Business Administration, which I submitted in December. The topic for my thesis was the ubiquitous concept of synergy, which I wanted to know more about. If you read the business press you will no doubt have come across the term. For those of you who don't, synergy is the benefit firms, especially merging firms, boast about getting from being diverse in their activities and offerings. The word synergy is derived from the greek words "sun" and "ergon" which means "to work together". Synergy is sometimes described as the effect of a combination of things where the sum makes up more than the sum of its parts. In my research, I try to figure out what it takes to gain such benefits. I work as a M&A Advisor for the Danish Postal Service Provider. More personal items (do I really need this?) I don't have a car, but I long to buy one (Jaguar, preferably), except I don't really need one, since I live in the city and own a bike (well, two actually). You already know about my hobby (hifi, and listening to music, of course plus I like to read science fiction). My taste in music is quite broad. I mainly listen to pop music, Country and Western and classical music.
