ARC File Inspector for BATs


AFI can be a usefull utility for use in your BAT files. It can identify a lot of compressed files and gather many information from them.

AFI has the ability to identify compressors, check -AV sign, determine compression ratio, perform a soft integrity check, count the files compressed, check for a password protected file(s), and detect if ARC is part of a multivolume block.

When AFI performs his work over multiple files, it don´t report errorlevels, it simply list the files in a formatted output, but you can use AFI like a pipe in order to filter compressed files with a line like this:

Dir C:\ /BF | AFI -Filter -Only

Note that the 'DIR' used is the JP's Software 4DOS 'DIR'.
