A versatile MP3 utility

MP3 is a really growing new technology. New software is needed.

This is a beta page, you will find a lot of errors and other bugs, but... time to time... ;-)

The JoshyMP3 utility can perform serveral operations with MP3 audio files, it is under heavily development at this time and I will try to post a new beta every one or two weeks. Main Commands

LIST

The purpose of this command is generate a good looking list of your MP3 files. Usually located in a CD-ROM or in a harddisk. With this code you can get so pretty lists including file names, channels, bit rate, sampling frequency and running time for each file, directory and collection. You can filter what files do you want to see (all files, MP3 files, all audio files, graphic files, etc), and in a near future more filters and more subfunctions.

Do you want to see how JoshyMP3 LIST sorts, test o do anything else over your MP3 files ? Please, I want suggestions and hints. I'm waiting.

MP3TOWAV

It simply transform the given .MP3 file in a .WAV file compatible with Opticom codec released with some encoders like Producer Professional. With your MP3 file in WAV format you can play it with your favorite digital audio player, like the windows multimedia player or any other one. Remember you must have the Opticom (or compatible) codec installed in your machine. Distribute programs with this codec inside is illegal and could have legal problems like the MP3 Compressor's author.

*NOTE* JoshyMP3 doesn't decompress MP3 audio files to WAV PCM format, it only makes a adaption job.
