Perhaps the most famous example of
is the 18th Century Peruvian folk melody El Condor Pasa
by Daniel A. Robles.
This style of folk music with its roots in pre-Inca civilisation gives us an idea of how could the music sound 5,000 years ago. One can even imagine how did it sound when 120 musicians played panpipes simultaneously during the festivities of the Incas.
PACHAKUTI is a group of Andean musicians from Peru based in Munich. The musicians are willing to share sounds of their music to the people around the world. Find here linkes to some audio files with samples of their music.
