As you've probably guessed by now, my name is Connie. I'm a Canadianized Asian, born in Hong Kong but raised here in the West Coast of Canada. I've lived here most of my life, only breaking off now and then in pursuit of my travelling jaunts. I have been back to the Orient to visit my heritage and to try and absorb some of my culture. But, there's nothing like the big expanse of blue sky, mountain air, and the salty ocean to remind me where my home and heart is. I'm 29 yrs old, and am seeing my "highschool" sweetheart...after an 11 yr hiatus. I still have many things to see and do before I settle down for the lifetime job of motherhood. So, what have I been doing all this time in the meanwhile? Well, I graduated from the University of Victoria with a BSN. I am a practising RN, working at two different locations right now.

My interests include getting to know people from across the world so computers are a big fascination for me. It certainly beats having to write out letters and posting them via snail mail avec stamps! One day, I'll travel to every single destination where I've corresponded with! Wouldn't that be grand? I enjoy most recreational sports; indoors and out. I'll try most everything once and if I find it's not my cup of tea, well, at least I can say I've tried it! I'm an avid reader of fiction novels. Can go through library books like crazy when I get the urge to sit and read. Quoting my brother, "You're going to read that whole book in one day!?! You'll shrivel up and die!" By his standards, I am an old prune! Alright, what else is there to say? Music! *LOL* Love most types: Top 40's (egads!), Dance, R & B, Funk, Jazz, good ole Rock 'n Roll, 50's, Rap, Techno, Classical, Compilations, and especially...80's music. My favourite! My sister calls me 'time warped'. I can't help it if I really like the 80's era! Two categories I'll pass on: Country/Western and Heavy Metal/Hard Rock. Eewy! Oh, I'm also a big movie buff. My taste runs from everything under the sun; from Hollywood blockbusters to foreign flicks.

And, like most of you out there, I like to hang out/keep in touch with my friends. Helen, one of my closest, is presently engaged to her boyfriend, Pete. Yikes, I've just been asked to be in yet another wedding party next year. The other one for which I'm showing my pearly whites: Betty and Eric's. Seems like I'm going to have quite a collection of purple coloured bridesmaid's gowns! Congratulations all around for my engaged friends. Flo, another friend, is currently living with her husband, Dan in San Francisco. Now Diane off and left Vancouver to make her way in the States after she got her RN. Nathalie, who's married to Rick, and is also living in the States. They're doing a wonderful job of raising their first offspring: a cutie by the name of Ashley. :)

For my male buddies: Vinh's pursuing a career in the computer industry and is relocated right now in Calgary. Edward, you bum, has beat me in setting up shop in the land where 'dawns early light' shines. Dave is another that's moved towards the Three R's! Responsibility, Respectability, and Ringed! *LOL* Yup, he's married folks! Alan and John are the only true blues at this point. Soooo, our reunion has come and gone. What's there to show for, Bubs?

This last paragraph is dedicated to my beau, Chris. He's one of the most giving persons I've ever met. We've spent the last year getting to know one another again and I think this time around, I've learned to appreciate more about him. When you get to know him folks, you know that chivalry is not dead. Sure, we've got our ups and downs...but so far, we've managed fine. I'll keep you posted on the what's what from time to time.

Okay, now that you know a little more about me. Why don't you write down a commment or two in my guestbook! Ta ta for now!!! ;)
