Created a DEA controlled substance/prescription drug inventory system utilizing compiled MS Quick basic.

Experimental Aircraft Association - Programmer/Analyst - 1989 to 1991
Oshkosh, Wisconsin

• As the sole IS professional on staff functioned at the CIO level. Responsible for all aspects of computer operations. Maintained membership, order entry, accounting and fixed asset COBOL systems, plus inventory, point-of-sale and payroll dBASE/Clipper systems. Down sized a payroll system from a Wang VS/100 COBOL system to a PC based Clipper system with telecommunications interface to an external accounting firm for tax reporting and check writing. Designed and implemented all data systems and a Novell LAN utilized during the Oshkosh annual Fly-in on the airport proper.
• Novell 2.12, Novell 2.15c and Novell 3.11 Network Engineer.
• Converted a manual inventory system from two museum gift shops and a mail order catalog with an integrated cash register/mail order Point-of-Sale system.
• Created a museum artifact inventory system with dBASE which tracked all museum pieces. The two most important reports generated by this system were a quarterly board meeting report and an annual insurance report for Lords of London.
• Evaluate, purchase, install/maintain all hardware and software throughout the company.

• Responsible for purchasing all expendable and tool room supplies, locating and obtaining the best quality and price for all materials purchased, obtaining lines of credit, arrangement of discounts and deliveries, returns and refunds.
• Programmed and operated a Thermwood 4-axis double head router via AutoCad along with manual operations. Operated all saw shop and assembly equipment as duties allowed.

• Attended military/government training consisting of IBM, UNIVAC, and Burroughs mainframes; Nixdorf and Wang minicomputer; Techtronics and IGS graphic systems plus IBM compatible PC’s.
• Management skills include overseeing large projects with up to 250 programmers via 10 to 15 team leaders with successful results.
• Created Command Integrated Management System which tracked and managed all assets (including personnel) worldwide. Provided worldwide on-site installation and training following up with unlimited telephonic user support.
