The Invaders

Okay Axis, Here We Come!

The web site dedicated to The Invaders, The Greatest Superheroes of World War II

It would've been nice to have a grand unveiling of the entire FREEDOM'S FIVE Online Comic, but I'm just too impatient! I've put up a small (very small) part for you to see. If you have comments or suggestions about the format, write and tell me! There's a no-prize in it for you....;)

It all begins HERE

I've received more information about Phineas T. Horton from a fellow named Lobdell. That information, and a scan of Horton's death (which I dug out of Avengers #135) can be found on Horton's page. And, at last, cover scans are up for every issue of the series. But I have to admit I cheated...I discovered Dave Medinnus had all the cover scans on his page, the Star-Spangled Site. Dave was kind enough to let me link to his scans, and I've used the freed up server space to add scans of other important covers. This can all be found in the Issues Guide. There are still a few more covers I've got that I'll try to get uploaded soon.

As always, definitely, be sure to let me know what you think! A lot of the new information has come from you, so I need your help and feedback. Is there anything you'd like to see added to the site, like fan fiction, more original art, etc? This is a fan page, so let's let the fans' voice be heard! For the uninitiated, The Invaders were created by Roy Thomas, who scripted the book for most of its run. The book centered on Marvel's classic heroes Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, and the Human Torch and their exploits together during WW II, before the 'official' Marvel Age began in 1961. The Invaders also featured Captain America's sidekick Bucky, the Torch's ally Toro, Whizzer, Miss America, Union Jack I and II, and Spitfire. This page is dedicated to those heroes, their Nazi foes, and the great stories Roy kept coming.

Keep 'em flying!
