So how can I put this? Well, if anything I can tell you I was very impressed with her, impressed by all means to the extent that I constantly eyed her up and down in confusion. I mean it's not everyday that you come to a new place expecting everyone to be older than you and instead it turns out that the people here look far younger than they are supposed to be. But as I eyed her up and down some more, I notice something odd about the way the room was laid out. If I'm not mistaken, the entire room was circular. Everything from the classroom to the desk, and even the blackboard was laid out in a perfect circular fashion. And on top of that I noticed volumes of textbooks that read in the weirdest dialect I have ever seen. To adorn them were symbols that were of lewd proportions.
Time Is Forever, and Remembrance is as Well
"Time to introduce myself I guess?"
"Umm, are you Miss Jacobs, of Social Enrichment?"
I waited for a reply, and waited again, so I walked towards her and tapped her on the shoulder. And it was with this that I repeated the same question before, but in a meek manner.
"Oh I'm sorry. I was just thinking of how to start off the school year. You know I've never taught anything before and I just got my degree at the Slacovaz Academy of the arts. So are you going to be one of my students?"
The arts? What did she mean by that? So I hesitated as she did and finally out of ignorance for my time wasted, I replied, "Oh I'm sorry, I was just thinking… about how the room looks so much different than the other ones I've seen so far. Was it an architects mistake?"
"Well yes and no. You see the high professor at Slacovaz, insisted that the rooms meet the standards of a true necromancer. Hmm, from the way you are staring at me, I can see that you have never taken necromancy before huh? Don't worry; it's nothing like worshipping that bastard ToMega Therion or anything. Do you know the history of ToMega Therion?"
I shook my head in disgust to the fact that I felt like a low-life worm to her. I wish that I was as smart as the people here, but then again it means that I won't get any requests from others to do their homework like the old days when I was in high school.
"Well, ToMega Therion, was a godly prince during the Krysta La' Bleak period. HE was considered a savior to many people, but he had numerous problems. Like all of those that were high and mighty, he wanted o forever known through time. So it was with this that he was on a crusade for a blade forged of life and death, the KrensharOmega. It was with this blade, that you were able to ask for two things as well as use it for the destruction of those that are of a threat to the world, or you. Well to get to the point, he asked for immortality, and the ability to steal the gifts of the Anje Forgotten, or the Forgotten Angels. It was said, that through his time he has claimed many races, but he wasn't satisfied. He wanted someone with the purest heart, and power to forge the blade to it's full potential. So it was written, that there was one race that could handle such an ornate being, yes the blade is a soul that can never be distinguished. But as to what the being was, if I remember right…"
As she finished part of her sentence, she began to reach for an old diary of some sort, and scanned it like a speed-reader. It must have been five seconds and then she replied with an answer.
"Oh yeah. The race, which is no longer present to this world, as well as the others he slain to gain his power, was a female vampyre. The head princess of… Sheol."
Damn, she was smart. I had to know more about her and this person that people claimed exist.
"Do you know anything else about this female?"
I waited again but this time she didn't ignore me. She just looked puzzled and more confused than ever with the question. It was then that she handed me that old diary or tome of some sort. And she shook her head as if it was meant to be mine and mine alone.
"Enjoy it, it's yours to own. I really have no use for it no more anyways. I just kept it around because it interested me for the moment. Maybe you can find it useful."
"Thank you. I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself; my name is Krysalis Mourn. And if it's no problem, may I have your name?"
"Well, before I was married, my name was Jade Diar. It was a pleasure to meet you but right now, I have to go to the lounge and prepare, err, my lesson plans. I hope to see you bright and early the day class starts."
What's up with this place? Everyone in a hurry. Oh well, as she left I sat down in one of the round desks, and studied the book. At that time I wish I hadn't. I really wish I hadn't
What I found in that book is possibly the reason that I'm here at this state of mind now rather than in my happy old spirits I used to be in. You see as I flipped the pages, I found that the person that she was talking about wasn't just a female, but instead someone, or something. That something claimed to be me.
"This is impossible. Maybe this is a joke to all the newbies here, but if so why was this thing so convincing? It even had manuscripts that I seemed to understand."
I looked everywhere for an answer. Something that maybe pointed out to where these weirdoes came from and it occurred to me… "THE TEXT BOOKS!"
I ran towards the back of the room and picked up a few volumes and read the titles aloud to myself, but they were all in a different dialect, that was except for one.
"MeiStrasonicannon levæ… The Welding Of The Lost."
As I flipped through the pages even more I witnessed things that seemed to be entitled to me and me only. But even today as I recall flipping through those dark pages, I feel as if I haven't obtained anything except grief and depression towards the ones that cared for me. You see it was then that I began to change. Everything from my plain looks, to my personality, it was all just a skin ready to be shed like a serpent in the white heat. But what disturbed me the most were the pictures; pictures of blood shed and rituals but for what? The answer came to me so easily and yet it still left me in a cloud of questions that were to never be answered till now. The shedding was for me, and another. The Krensharomega; the blade of lost souls and forever to be my binding to this contract. Even as I stroke this damned thing I wish I could kill it but I know better that you can't kill a soul. You can always dispense the body but the soul lives forever, as were I am living proof of that gift.
"What is this shit?"
When I asked that question, the first painful experience anyone could ever have happened instantaneously to me. A vision…
Oh yeah I remember it all right. I could feel the heat and taste the crimson water that was to be thrown on the marble interior. I could see the warm orange light that was to reflect off my pale whitish-blue skin. I could taste the bitter sweat and see the tears from my eyes, but as for my adversary… he was to constantly mock me and laugh at me till the end of the world. Could this be a joke, an omen, or maybe a hallucination? But it felt so real, as if I was slashed and everything; the tastes, the smells, all of it felt so surreal to my senses that it only made me thirst and raise my head towards the ceiling as if to give praise to a savior of some sort.
So I read some more. Searched for another answer as to where this bastard of a sword could be found. But irony has its twist of fate. You see all the books that were presentable in this room were all torn in half. So I wondered if this was to keep wandering eyes from learning too much or maybe it was because they were too old. Fuck that, I knew better than that. It was because the school didn't want us to learn more than what was to be expected of us. They didn't want us to reach our full potential as high necromancers. Oh the secrets they must have stored, and I didn't even have to read them to understand them. Everything I needed to know was to come to me as fast as light in space. And oh what a dark light that had to have been.
