Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal were recently adjudged Most Promising Actor and Actress respectively by the 28th Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation 1998. Below are some excerpts of the awards night, focusing on Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal.

FR: Our most promising stars are probably two of the most popular and talented products of ABS-CBN's Talent Center. They have invaded television through their high-rating programs such as Gimik, Onli in da Pilipins, ASAP and Star Drama Specials where they showcased their versatility.
AT: And even in the silver screen, they have proven their popularity through their hit movie "Flames". Both have earned nominations and awards for their performances. The actress won a young achievers award in Parangal ng Bayan and the actor won nominations for his performance for Ipaglaban Mo, the Movie 2 plus a new movie actor trophy from Star Awards for Movies.
