   When dealing with extraterrestrial and ufological matters I use to introduce myself as a retired Brazilian electronics engineer, aged 65, that has been, since a long time, one of those able to testify on the reality of the "nuts and bolts" highly advanced kind of UFO because one of them crossed the highway near enough to stall the car in which I was in with my parents, barely a teenager at the time.

   It was a very simple kind of sighting, just a flying whitish object about ten meters wide, looking like a reversed soup plate glued upon another, silently cruising the valley that goes up the first steps of the Petropolis mountain range near Rio de Janeiro, moving slowly at low altitude, a couple of hundred meters ahead of the car.

   After the initial shock my family decided it had to be one of the nazi secret weapons taken from the Germans by one of the allied powers [the year was 1949, and yes, they were a smart and well informed kind of people] and soon forgot the whole thing.

   During the following years I occasionally read about the UFO phenomenon and became more and more convinced that all impartial research pointed to a situation where our planet is subjected to an important alien presence.

   Presently I can't do less than absolutely agree with Steven Greer and others like him that think this situation is kept secret by a very powerful military-industrial steering group derived from the wartime Manhattan Project, that escaped governmental control.

   So I heartfeltedly praise the effort Dr Greer and the Disclosure Project team are undertaking to awaken the USA Congress -- and the rest of the world -- to the great importance of this matter, using the clever strategy of concentrating on the testimony of old military officers and civilian officials of good standing and impeccable careers.

   Up to the present time he has refrained himself and has successfully avoided to bring up all controversial matter, including the supremely important question of what motivates the extraterrestrial presence among us...and rightly so, because, as Greer himself noted in one of his "position papers", the ET civilizations are likely to have very different sociological and ethical values compared to what we are accustomed to.

   But, even agreeing with him that we must be very careful in selecting the words we use to communicate the truth that we can verify, that doesn't mean that we mustn't confront difficult issues like the probable interference of ETs with human evolution, and the so called "abductions" and "cattle mutilations" questions -- that Greer is prone to interpret as well intentioned "clinical examinations" and "farm animal dissections".

   The inclination to see all extraterrestrial activities under a favorable light derives from the supposition that ancient civilizations, hundreds of thousands or millions of years older than our own must necessarily be benign, that is, morally evolved along lines we think must universally prevail.

   Besides that, our religious upbringing makes it difficult to accept the possibility that the moral quality of our heavenly brothers (or competitors, or masters, or a combination of these) could be left to chance alone, by a benign, endowing God, preoccupied with us human beings, as his preferred children -- a strong judeo-christian-mohammedan notion.

   The problem is that nature isn't showing any evidence that there could be such a thing as preferred children. Despite Einstein, God seems to be playing dice all the time.

   So we must fend for ourselves and accept the fact that we are not living in a well-guarded planet, divinely protected against inimical alien interference. And consequently we have to be attentive to all bad signs, because, if reality is like that, we are exposed to all imaginable dangers inherent to the wild west quality of our cosmic frontier, a promising, beautiful, but savage place, with no fences, sheriffs, circuit judges nor courts of appeal.

   That is why we must oblige ourselves to examine attentively all data we have about the sensitive issues, including "cattle mutilations" and the scarcer -- but, as you are going to see in the first of the following essays -- impossible to deny cases of "human mutilation".

THE REALITY OF ET RELATED
HUMAN MUTILATIONS

[Reason enough to be very cautious
about the trustful approach to ETs]

   The "cattle mutilation" syndrome is an UFO related phenomenon characterized by the finding of dead mutilated farm animals in isolated areas with no physical traces of the responsible for the deaths, i.e., no foot prints, no crushed grass, no tracks, no snow prints in winter.

   [It is completely impossible to me to use the euphemism "farm cattle dissections" proposed by Dr. Steven Greer, and I doubt he would extend the concept of benign ET intervention up to the inclusion of "human dissections"].

   It has been found that the body is totally drained of blood and there are no trace of blood anywhere on the ground. Incisions of different types are found on the bodies, all so clear-cut that they would have to be done with advanced technology, that didn't exist when the mutilations started, before 1970.

   Various body parts are found to be missing, normally, sensory organs (eyes and internal ears), tongue, the glands of the throat, mammary glands, sexual parts, navel, lower intestine, excised in such ways that suggest the use of laser like instruments and round sucking cups unknown to medicine.

   From 1960 onward, rumors began to be heard about findings of similarly mutilated human corpses, horror stories rapidly dismissed as misinformation or sensationalist material.

   This matter, generally considered to be of very bad taste, surfaced again in 1988 when the Skywatch International open list published a short text purported to be based on a secret report relating the death of an Air Force Sgt (E-6) by the name Jonathan P. Louette, abducted at the White Sands missile test range in March of 1976.

   According to the report, his nude body was found three days later in the middle of the desert, horribly mutilated: the tongue had been removed from the lower part of the jaw; the eyes, removed; the genitalia and the anus, all the way to the colon, excised, "as through a plug". The autopsy report confirmed that the body had been completely drained of blood.

   The following year Donald Ecker, then responsible for the Idaho MUFON Directory investigated the story of the finding of a mutilated body in a remote place near Bliss area, Idaho, with extensive mutilations in the face, and complete excision of the sexual parts and other abdominal organs.

   During the investigation Ecker found there was a generalized and near absolute predisposition to repress the whole story, including among ufologists, deeply divided between those who see the extraterrestrials as harbingers of the New Age and those who think they are nothing less than precursors demons of the Apocalypse.

   A few years later there was the case of a similarly mutilated body, occurred in 1994, in New Zealand, as reported by Karen Lyster in http://www.reocities.com/CapitolHill/Congress/2301/humanmute.html   where Karen has been telling for a couple of years without repercussions another disgusting story of a cored out rectum, bloodless removal of sexual organs, and a vivid description of the removal from the chest of very clean cookie cutter pieces of flesh, around 2 inches in diameter, as they could be evaluated from the photos (that she wasn't allowed to keep) shown to her by a distressed Physician that wanted to know her opinion about how similar the wounds were to the cattle mutilations she had studied before.

   The force of the taboo like willingness to deny the human mutilations is so strong that even the extremely well researched and conclusive investigation made in 1992 by Encarnacion Zapata Garcia about the so called Guarapiranga Dam case, in Brazil, seems like it never happened at all.

   The story of this research was made public at the Internet a few years ago by G. Cope Shellhorn, and soon was lost in the noise.

   What makes the Guarapiranga case absolutely special is that, notwithstanding the fact that the body was discovered, like the above mentioned, at an isolated place, it was found at an small island inside a reservoir inside S. Paulo city, one of the most modern, advanced, well developed cities of the world, so a very short time after the body was found it was examined by the proper detachment of the police department, photographed from many angles and positions -- before and after removal -- and later autopsied by forensic experts whose report -- shown here and partially translated ahead -- is a testimony to their bafflement by the strangeness and inexplicability of the wounds inflicted upon the "murder victim" they had been called to examine.

   As a matter of fact, the same peculiar type of incisions and excisions characteristic to cattle mutilation cases were found all over the body: eyes and ears removed leaving plug like holes, lips and flesh excised around the mandibles, emptied mouth cavity, removal of sexual and intestinal parts...

OFFICIAL AUTOPSY REPORT

   [A few items were blacked out to difficult the identification of the victim, as asked by the family, but it has been possible to verify the number of the criminal occurrence bulletin (n. 5423/88, at the 25th police station), as well as the number of the necrological report (n. 645/88 dated October, 03, 1988) and the name of the forensic medicine experts that signed it: Dr Jorge Pereira de Oliveira and Dr Claudio Roberto Luber]

   The autopsy report states:

   "EXTERNAL EXAMINATION: We observed: 1) Cut off of the external ear by a slanting incision, with hollowing of soft parts; 2) removal of internal ear with indications of vital reaction; 3) enucleation of right and left ocular globes, with signs of blood inside the cavities"

   Summing up the removal or hollowing of other parts:

   "16) We observed the removal of the right and left orbital areas, emptying of the mouth cavity, pharynx, oropharynx, neck, right and left armpit area, abdomen, pelvic cavity, right and left groin area".

   The reference to "vital reaction" means that the wound was inflicted upon a live body, not over a dead one. This information is repeated in other parts of the report, for example:

   "8) The left and the right armpit areas exhibit a circular discontinuity [round hole], with 4 centimeters of diameter, with regular borders and hollowing of soft parts, with signs of vital reaction".

   "21) Absence of organs In the pelvis and abdominal cavity due to the removal of all viscera, with signs of tearing and vital reaction".

   The most evident indication of vital reaction are the blue-black haematomas (formed by the effusion of blood under the skin) that can be clearly seen as a mask over the eyes, around the ears, under the chin, as a rectangle around the hole near the right armpit...

   ... and around similar holes with regular borders clearly seen in the navel and at the thigh, near the left groin area, that appears to have been produced by a "cookie cutter" type of instrument.

   An extensive haematoma can also be observed throughout the whole length of the very bruised, stretched penis, that wasn't excised like the scrotum, but showed an enlarged urethral channel (the red tip of which can be seen in the photo) suggesting that the prostate gland was extracted through it.

   The official occurrence bulletin says the body was found simply laying on the damp soil completely unbound, without signs to have been previously chained or tied. [The piece of rope found to be tied to the right arm during the autopsy was used later, to fasten the body to the stretcher for removal, as shown in the next photo]. There was no signs of fighting nor any indication of the presence of other people in the island.

   The possibility that such a horrible butchery has been inflicted upon a live victim, possibly paralyzed, brings up to the mind the story related by Linda Moulton Howe about a mutilated bull found in 1981, in Colorado, with dried traces of exudation that trickled down along the muzzle from both its removed eyes, in such a way that only could have occurred if it were standing up, meaning that whoever excised its eyes, removed its tongue, the sexual parts and the rectum, did all that with the animal still alive, paralyzed and standing over its own legs.

   A very improbable and incredible thing, absolutely preposterous: who in this world would be inhuman enough to do that to a paralyzed, conscious animal?

   And now, we have the official register of a human person submitted to the same kind of treatment while still alive. Would it be possible that he was conscious during the mutilation?


   The sobering answer, given by the autopsy, is a resounding yes!

   "INTERNAL EXAMINATION: ...after opening the cranial cavity using Griessinger technique we found: 17) unimpaired skullcap; 18) cerebral edema".

   In a case like that, the presence of cerebral edema without direct traumatic origin is a strong characteristic of an agonizing death. In confirmation, the autopsy CONCLUSION explicitly states as causa mortis (cause of the death):

   "...acute haemorhage in multiple traumatisms. There is a component of causa mortis by vagus stimulation" [implying cardio-respiratory arrest caused by extreme pain]. "The victim shows injuries with vital reaction characteristics, i.e., there is the component "torture". The suggested modus operandi is: incisions in soft parts and natural orifices using sucking devices".

   "23) The thoracic viscera (i.e., non abdominal organs) were in their normal place".

   In spite of the fact that the vascular system was practically drained, there was no signs of haemorrage in the body, or in the site the body was found.

   One of the MD that was part of the autopsy commented the incongruity of the fact that the victim was wearing a short (strangely free from a single drop of blood) when was found, so whoever was responsible for the crime put on the short back into the body after the carnage. He said that what baffled him more than anything else was how could so much muscular mass and lymph nodes be removed through small holes (as can be clearly seen in Photos #3 and #4, near the armpit and groin) without tearing apart the connecting tissue adhered to the skin.

   But all these are irrelevant details compared to the -- in this case -- impossible to deny reality of the mutilation itself.

   We have a body that was examined by professionals that would certainly recognize the difference between randomly inflicted wounds produced by animals, from deliberate, artificially produced cuts, made by instruments. We have an official document describing the autopsy. And this time the researcher was allowed to keep the photos, at last.

   All along the autopsy report, the artificiality and surgical deliberation of the incisions are very clearly described, for example:

   "10) Elliptic, elongated incision with 3 cm x 1 cm axis, at the left groin crease."

   "14) Removal of the anal orifice with ample incision, oval shaped, elongated, with 15 cm x 8 cm axis". Etc, etc....



   So, in this case, again, there is no way out of the definitive conclusion provided by an EITHER / OR binary type of proposition:

   EITHER:

   A bunch of absolutely inhuman, mad Brazilian ufologists developed specialized equipment to imitate the cattle mutilation signature, and killed an innocent victim, closely following a script destined to back the supposed White Sands mutilation of Sgt. Louette;

   OR:

   The horribly mutilated body of the Brazilian victim is proof enough of the truthfulness of both Sgt. Louette's case and the New Zealand report, and many others, meaning that we will have to face the grim reality of all these cases, the sooner the better.

   I am reluctant to say it, but the impossibility to protect the planet against this kind of cold blooded extraterrestrials has probably been one of the main reasons for the endurance of the UFO / ET cover up, which, under the circumstances, seems to be a policy very easy to justify.
