A LITTLE BOY'S WORLD
A little boys world is a wondrous world
Of caterpillars, toads and frogs.
Of pocketsful of treasures
And shaggy-coated dogs.
A little boys world is a learning place
Of all the earth's sweet ways.
From splashing in a puddle
To glorious golden days.
A little boy's world is a curious world,
A mixture of bitter and sweet,
Of tears and happy smiles
And restless wriggley feet.
A little boy's world is a growing world,
Of a body growing up fast.
His clothes are always too small
And his sneakers never last.
A little boy's world is a mother's world
Of soothing small boy fears.
Shy little hugs and a few little kisses
And sleeping with teddy bears.
A little boy's world is a noisy place,
Of shouts and running feet.
He simply cannot be quiet
And it's impossible to stay in his seat.
A little boy's world is a spiritual world,
Full of innocence and bliss.
His soul knows the joy of feeling
The imprint of the Savior's kiss.
