Dickson County Tennessee Adult Education Programs
The Dickson County Adult Basic Education Program is designed to help citizens of the county to improve their reading and math skills and/or earn their G.E.D. diploma.
Any Dickson County resident 18 years of age or older who needs to improve his/her skills in reading, writing, math, science, or social studies.
Classes are held at the Old Burns School, 112 College Street in Burns, Tennessee. Click here for a schedule of classes.
Enrollment in the ABE classes is free. However, when a student is ready to take the G.E.D. test, the cost is $45.
State certified teachers instruct the classes.
The length of time it will take you to get your G.E.D. will depend on how much of your education you have before you start adult education classes and the amount of time you have to study and prepare for the G.E.D. test.

3. After you have made progress in your studies, take the practice G.E.D. test.
4. Take the G.E.D. test.
5. (Optional, but encouraged) Take part in the graduation ceremonies in June.
