Summary: Erik is enraged to learn that Luke Cage, hero for hire, has taken the code name Power Man. Erik stages a showdown in a movie theatre, where he and Luke slug it out.

Continuity: This is Erik’s last appearance in his original Power Man costume. The ease with which Cage defeats him clearly demonstrates how far from Wonder Man-level strength Erik has fallen. Following this humiliation, Erik seeks anonymity and ends up earning a more-or-less honest living as a dock worker.

Comments:A vignette more than a story, told with some skill. Ron Wilson’s art is not polished but it does have a certain force. Roy Thomas’ cutesy footnotes are annoying.
