Summary: When a tech-enabled saboteur called The Ghost sets out to destroy an Italian electronics firm owned by Justin Hammer, Hammer assembles a counter-force. He sends The Rhino to bust Donny Gill out of a Los Angeles prison. Rhino is stopped by Iron Man, but Gill escapes.
In his Blizzard identity, Gill joins Blacklash and Boomerang in tackling The Ghost, but they are unable to stop him. Tony Stark makes a deal with Hammer to send Iron Man to deal with The Ghost -- if Hammer will leave Gill alone.
Iron Man and Jim Rhodes team up with the bad guys for a showdown with The Ghost, but they fail. On learning that Hammer was willing to treat him as a bargaining chip, Gill surrenders.
Continuity: Tony Stark has been working behind the scenes to help Donny through the criminal process, and is willing to strike a bargain with Hammer to free the young man from a life as a criminal. Donny, who apparently believed that Hammer had a genuine interest in him as a person, learns otherwise.
Comments: Another entertaining entry from the long Michelinie/Layton era of Iron Man. Like most stories, this one is jam-packed with exciting events and colorful characters ... but Michelinie's script is mechanical and fails to register any emotional impact from even the most terrifying of cliffhangers.
