Summary: When the Vision vanishes from the compound, the WCA breaks into a government stronghold to rescue him. The Avengers are Hawkeye, Henry Pym, the Scarlet Witch, Tigra, the Wasp, and Wonder Man

Continuity: Hawkeye faces Mockingbird for the first time since their separation. He quits the team after U.S. Agent is assigned by the government to take over as leader.

Comments: John Byrne’s first effort as WCA writer/artist presents an ingenious plot twist, beautifully illustrated. Mike Machlan’s rich inks are well-suited to Byrne’s elegant lines. The story of the Vision’s rebirth is so clever and it is drawn so well that it is easy to overlook that very little actually happens. Most of the story is exposition on events that have already taken place.
