"When Goliaths Clash!!!!" (1993/03/01) from Avengers West Coast 92 (March 1993)

Summary: Goliath (Erik Josten) busts out of jail to make another strike at Wonder Man. But Simon isn't home at the AWC compound, instead Erik runs into Clint Barton -- Goliath! Appearances from the Living Lightning, Mockingbird, the Scarlet Witch, and Spider-Woman.

Continuity: Penned up after his defeat by Giant-Man (Previous/Josten), Goliath breaks out of prison at the beginning of the story. Having battled Luke Cage over the name Power Man ("The Killer With My Name!", 1974/10/01), Erik now fights Clint over the name Goliath. He is left, sedated, for the authorities to deal with. For T-Bolts continuity, skip the last page.

Comments: Clint and Erik should get some sort of prize for having fought each other under the most different code names. You have to get through a lot of Avengers angst to get to the slugfest, but it’s pretty good.
