Summary: Framed for murder, Spider-Man must elude the police and track down the real killer: the Beetle!

Continuity: Abe ends this story once again in police custody but, as usual, is out so quickly that he probably does not serve any time. The final installment is the second Spidey/Beetle confrontation to be called "Beetlemania!" (see 1981/09/01).

Comments: The mystery story is pretty well constructed (although the business with the videotape doesn’t completely hold together). The art is in the lanky modern style that I don’t care for, but it is effective – especially Scott Kolins’ work on the first installment. This is one of the Beetle’s best appearances: Abner does a great job until he makes the mistake of actually coming on stage in the final installment.
