MonsteR! Prelude

        "Monster! Prelude" is an improvisation, made at 11:45 PM on a Tuesday night.  I have no idea what could possibly be going through my mind as I perform this.  Sometimes when you're a kid you get this notion that a monster is somewhere, lurking behind your back, grisly hands ready to grab hold of your throat and squeeze... okay, that's what is going through my head.

        The performance featured here is a once-in-a-lifetime deal... I will never perform this piece again because it is lost in the vat of improvisatory schtick in my mind.  Part ragtime, part stride, part classical, part B.S, part fear, and to top it off: caffeine.  For a TOTAL IMPROVISATION, this piece makes me happy!
