And there it was: the end of the World Trade Center. At one point the two tallest buildings in the world. I had not been to the top of the twin towers since I was a small child, and now I would never get a chance to again. I had passed though the plaza on various occasions through my life and been up in an office or two there a few times. I was always impressed by the view looking up at the towers, the paralell lines reaching up almost as far as the eye could see. Now it was all gone. |
