Forgery A

1. Lithographed on white wove paper in shades of red lilac, and can be found in a grey lilac as well.
2. There are white hairlines noticeable in the lower tablets. In the tablet with the 2 in it, there is a long line above the numeral and a small one below it. In the tablet with the Rs in it, there is 1 line below the Rs. On heavily inked copies these lines may not be as noticeable, but forgers seem to have "fixed" these details and don't appear on forgeries.

The following details can be applied to all the values of the 1865 issues
3. The design measures approx. 18.5mm x 22mm
4. The tilde above the N in ESPANA touches neither the N or the outer oval.
5. There are 3 distinct shading lines on the left side of the castle in the upper right corner.
