Greetings from Medellin Colombia. The weather is nice all year around. And the people are friendly. Jucum “Juventud con una mision” (Youth with a mission) has a big children ministry in this city. There are still a lot of kids on the street who learn how to steal and attack people and use drugs. We have now more than 40 kids full time under our care in rehabilitation. It is wonderful to see the kids change over time, but the new comers can be very wild just off the streets and they can do a lot of material damage in the houses. My job is to fix things and renovate things so they will be “child-proof”. Here you see a picture taken of how even the walls can’t resist these children. Now I should say that these walls are made a long time ago and the plaster is not made with cement. |

On these pictures you can see the older kids (and leaders) whom are in the second stage, they behave a lot better. Some of these kids are ready to move to the third stage with more free space. The third stage does not exist yet. That is the reason I came here, to also help with building or if we get an existing house outside the city, to start making a farm-like environment so the kids can grow up learning the necessary things for their last step back into society.

Prayer points; 1) Protection against kidnaping, muggers and theft. 2) To be able to buy the necessary tools to do all the maintenance work in the children homes. 3) Team members who would like to do a Discipleship Training School for 5 months and are praying for Gods provision of the money. |
