YEARBOOKLADY
aka, bookstorelady, trikerbabe, and Mom
Darilee and Ulf welcome you
Welcome to my home. I've decided not to put up too many gizmos and gadgets
here so that you can have an easy load. My helper and German son, Ulf, flew in
from Germany in time for 10 days of snow and rain storms during Christmas of 1996. This page is the
result of much patience on his part and lots of screaming on mine...
This is an international joint venture with my former
exchange-student
Ulf .
The Rooms:
- Attic - YEARBOOKS...Genealogists are really
a weird group of individuals. We (undocumented but absolutely correct) can
go for days, sitting, staring at little screens in libraries; drive for
hundreds of miles to walk through cemetaries on darkrainy nites; talk about
average people long dead (spouting their dates (and not remember our own
anniversary days)); and WE COLLECT STUFF...In my case yearbooks...2700 plus
& still collecting.
- Gallery - really old pictures (uploaded by
Ulf)
- Dining Room Table - GENEALOGY AND FAMILY
STORIES...30 years of genealogy, oh my...
- Bedroom - EXCHANGE STUDENTS...Ok, apparently
I collect SONS and DAUGHTERS. My family and I have shared our home with young
people from around the world for 12 years. Some of them have remained very
close. In the case of Ulf, he has to fly home to Washington State to help me
set this site up because I can't follow directions over the phone. So the
bedrooms are full of stories and pictures...and CLAAS...if you read this...
CALL HOME.
- Garage - BIKES AND TRIKES...We have stopped
4 wheeling and are now bikers...really really old bikers. The old guy owns a
1976 Harley FX. I need 3 wheels to keep from falling over at stop signs. We,
(actually the old guy and a few good friends) are in the process of
repainting and vamping up my 1976 class homebuilt VW trike AND building from
ground up a Harley Trike AND rebuilding the engine on the Harley. So grab a
wrench and a cup of coffee and visit the garage... We need all the help we
can get... plus WE know the good places to ride... and where some of local
speed traps are.
- Mailbox - Links and even more links
