Let me introduce myself. I'm Lee Tiedeman a retired electrical engineer with the Michigan Dept. of Transportation. I live near Lansing, Michigan.

This site was originally created to entertain my granddaughters and myself.

Thank's for stopping in. Take a look around. I will be making changes so come again.

Since I live in the State of Michigan it's only fair that I show you some pictures.

I have included some rare photographs of the car ferries which were once operated by the Michigan State Highway Department. The car ferries transported all vehicles across the Straits of Mackinac before the Mackinaw Bridge was constructed. The Mackinaw Bridge now joins the lower and upper peninsulas of Michigan, and the car ferries are gone.

I have also included live webcams so you can see what is happening around Michigan today.
