Cell-ebrations: What  cytotechs do for fun
WE GET CREATIVE:
Lisa Livoti Struble, CT(ASCP) with her painting, "Biding Time"
WE ADORN OUR CUBICLES:
Sharyn's Halloween spider transformed into a Thanksgiving spider by weaving a web-turkey.
I work with 14 other cytotechs, and we do many things to ease the stress and seriousness of our work. Below are just a few of them.
WE READ, READ, READ........
Sometimes we read together. Two of us just finished James Joyce's "Ulysses". Next on our list to read together:
  "War and Peace"
  "The Odyssey"
  "Beowulf"

Some of our favorite reads:
  "Alice in Wonderland"
  "To Kill a Mockingbird"
  "A Prayer for Owen Meany"
  "The Bean Trees"
  "Crime and Punishment"
  "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn"
Melissa's always homey cubicle, decked out for Christmas.
My own cubicle is home to my snowglobe collection. I have over 45 snowglobes in my tiny cubicle, from places as close as Niagara Falls to as far away as Venice, Barcelona, Monaco, the Bahamas, Mexico, London and Hawaii. My friends and family are always on the lookout for new additions,  the funnier the better!! Here are a few of my favorites:
A Mississippi alligator with see-sawing 'gators in his belly.
Mayberry, with Andy, Opie, and Floyd's Barbershop.
WE EAT & EAT & EAT...........
On "Cyto Night Out", we try lots of different restaurants. Here are some cytology favorites in the Rochester area:
*Timothy Patrick's
*Raj Mahal
*Keenan's
*The Northside
*Kim's Asia
*The King and I
*Nathan's Soups (for ordering in)
*The Plum Tree
