Indiana Harbor Chapter No. #378
††††††††††† Hello Everyone,
††††††††††† The Chapterís January meeting is over and it was business as usual.† We had a few new faces present at our meeting and were glad to see some members there; that we have not seen in awhile. We had our Obligation night and Memorial night and our Star Point Honor night.† Each Star Point was given a beautiful angel as a special gift from the Worthy Matron and Patron.† Sisters Vera Newman and Amanda Maloney are our most recent members and we are glad to welcome them into our Chapter and hope they will come often and receive much enjoyment in our family.
††††††††††† Our Temple Potluck is scheduled for January 20th at 6:30 p.m.† We hope to see everyone there weather permitting.† The next meeting is our Valentineís Day meeting and Election night for the Chapter.† Please come out and support your Chapter.† The time for considering a new office is almost upon us, so please think seriously about this next year and which office you would like to hold.† When you are asked to take an office, think about saying yes, as you only get out of Star what you are willing to put into it.† There are many enjoyable times and friendships and lessons to be had and with each of these we can learn and grow.†† The meetings will not be formal unless Initiation is scheduled.
††††††††††† A bit of news for those who might not have heard: Sister Evelyn Goph's and Brother Bill Travisí honor night was on Friday January 19, 2001 in Crown Point.† The Indiana Grand Officers should have opened a new Eastern Star chapter at the Masonic Home in Franklin, IN on January 20, 2001.† This is an idea that should have been put into effect long ago and one I believe is a great idea, for all the members at the home.† Also sister momma Pegís Reception is slated for the third of February.† We hope everyone is keeping warm and safe and remember to think spring!
††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† Warm Wishes,
