||Born in São Paulo, Luiz Fernando Marchetti started to study music in 1978. In 1979, during the 10th Winter Festival, in Campos do Jordão, São Paulo, he had an outstanding performance as a student of Choir Conducting. He studied with conductors Martinho Lutero and Diogo Pacheco. In 1986, he graduated in Composition and Conducting from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). In 1991, he was at the International BachAkademie, in Stuttgart (Germany), under the supervision of Conductor Helmuth Rilling. In 1992, he produced the musical "Lorca por Lorca", starring Rodrigo Santiago. He also conducted the group Schola Cantorum, which, under his direction, was awarded as the best choral group by APCA (Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte - São Paulo's Art Critics Association) in 1995. Established and conducted for 20 years the Unibero Choir, with which has recorded two CDs.Marchetti is Pos-Graduated in Music and is currently teaching History and Musical Perception, is the coordinator of Theory at the Centro de Estudos Musicais Tom Jobim. He also serves as Assistant Conductor to Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem do Estado de São Paulo and as Choirmaster to the Madrigal Vivarte.
